Project #2293 Upholstery Prints, 2017
Printed in San Francisco / Material: Digital Print on Poly Linen
Continuing on from the project #2293 Collage series, I wanted to explore the idea of applying the collage abstracts as a print to upholstery textiles. It’s a fun and intriguing idea, having site specific fabrics in your home that are derived from the very structure around you.
The print was produced in two colour-ways, a midnight blue on a yellow ochre and a black on white. These digitally printed samples were printed on a synthetic Poly Linen (Poly Linen took the print most effectively) but ideally they would be developed as a natural woven or screen printed fabric.
